About

IMG 0578I originally trained and qualified, with Credit Passes, in Photography at the Blackpool College of Art which was one of the best Photography Colleges in the country.

After qualifying I moved to Inverness and worked for 10 years as a Medical Photographer, obtaining further advanced medical photographic qualifications and gaining Associateships with the British Institute of Professional Photography, The Master Photographers Association and the Institute of Medical Illustrators.

I left the NHS and started my own multi media company specialising in commercial photography and corporate video/broadcast production and over 20 years was commissioned by many national and international companies. I also worked regularly for the BBC, ITV and Grampian Television and with a number of international television companies including CBS (USA), TBS (Japan) Channel 9 (Australia). I directed and produced a documentary 'The Loch Ness Monster Story' which was broadcast on TV in 16 countries.

In recent years I have been working with my son James, who runs his own web design company, to create a new concept educational website for golfers, Let's Get Golfing.

Although I have been involved in many aspects of photography over the years my main passion has always been wildlife and landscapes and this is what I am now specialising in having just relocated to Cumbria.

If you would like to discuss commercial use of any of my images, or a commission, please do not hesitate to contact me.
